outlook express problems

I am at my wits end with a pretty unique problem with Outlook express 6.0.

When I login using my default admin profile in XP, i cannot create mails or reply to mails or forward them. It goes "There was an error loading address book" and then a multitude of errors that go "Cannot create stationary", "There was an error opening the file" etc. Net result cannot use Express. It can download mails though but I can double click on a message to open it in a different window nor can I download attachments.

This came about after my antivirus software detected a virus in a mail message and "cleaned" it. (McAfee)

I downloaded the Serive pack 1 and reinstalled IE6, but the problem persits. I tried manually deleting registry entries and reinstalling IE6. but problem persists. Booted through the safe mode and manually deleted the outlook express folders and the registry entries ... problem persists.

Now I create a new user and login using that id. Outlook express works like a charm. No problemo! I'd like to identify the source of the error in my default login though. Any clues guys?

im not 100% sure but from my experience, the root admin acct cant get mail or run certain apps others can...

I always make a 2nd acct so i dont screw up anything when in regualr usermode

I was able to do just about anything you can imagine prior to the arrival of that mail which contained a virus.
