This happened on my brother's computer, but he was running ME. The only thing we could do to fix it was use the restore feature and go back a few hours. But before doing that, you could try just downloading IE and reinstalling it. It could work, although it didn't with us. Do you have the restore feature turned on? Can you access it?

can't open internet explorer
having trouble opening internet explorer evrytime open it message comes up something wrong with internet explorer send or don't send to microsoft when investigate can't find anything wrong but cannot open add or remove programs or anything else for that matter need help also have lost installation disc so can't reinstall windows xp.
