XP Start Up

Immediately after entering a password during log in to XP Pro I get a window titled "C:\windows\system32\dllcache\sc.exe". The description is "SC is a command line program used for communicating with the NT service controller and services" My machine is standalone and the window is cleared by hitting the X.
This has only just started appearing without apparant reason. How do I stop it?

Thanks

George
