Service Pack 2 and audio recording problems?

I am unable to record streaming audio with my new computer.

Using High Criteria's Total Recorder on my other computers (that do not have Service Pack 2 or XP Pro) I am able to record just fine.

With my new computer I do not even have the choice of selecting "stereo mix", "CD Audio" etc. like my other systems.

Is there some known Service Pack 2 issue with audio cards?

Thanks!
-Doug

Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (build 2600)
Dell Inc. Precision WorkStation 380
3.00 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4
SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC

I would check that you have the latest drivers for your sound card and the latest version of the programe. Win XP Sp2 was really a new OS it changed so much.

Hope this helps

Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case

Then go here to Dell to get your Audio driver
http://support.dell.com/support/down...&os=WW1&osl=EN

All instructions to install are on the site.

Hope this helps
