Chances are this is your memory. Most of the time when XP freezes on start up it's related to the memory. I'd try changing it out if you can and see if it boots. You could even try just removing one of the two sticks to see if one may be bad.

What about Power supply (PSU)??

Does it give enough power for all your hardware??

By the way I will double check the RAM. Probably is no bad by I have seen that happenning more than once. Try this:

Open the case, and remove the RAM sticks, exchange the position bwn them and restart the computer.

As I said make sure you have a good power supply.

To run that video card they recommend a power supply at least with 250 Watts + the two ram sticks + HDD + Motherboard+ CD DVD Drives + anything els you have in your system...

Read the instructions. This is an example:

Motherboard 45Watts
HDD 30-40 watts
Microprocessor: 55-100 watts
CD-DVD Drive 15-25 watts
Video card - 150 watts
That will be a total of 360 watts. So you will need a power supply of 450 Watts in that case.

So DO THE MATH and see if your power supply is giving enough power to your hardware...

Let us know...

Anyone that's built a custom system can tell you that the ram counting or being new does not mean it's compatible with your specific motherboard. What is the brand name of the memory? If it's a cheap off brand then chances are it's incompatible unless you verified with the company you purchased it from that it would work with the chipset on your motherboard.

I've had customers of mine run into this same issue quite a lot and everytime all I have to do is change out the ram and it works fine. If you did order higher end memory be sure that your system bios is set correctly, it it doesn't detect the cpu speed automatically then make sure you have it set correctly through the bios or jumpers on the motherboard as this can cause XP to stall during an install as well.

Problems like this are normally just trial and error, keep testing different components until you find the problem.

Are you checking everything insted saying "it can't be that"???

The sytem "should" be working but it is not oviously. So "it can be anything" you better start from scratch and double check everything...

You said the system started having this when you upgrade to a new motherboard, graphic and Ram, right??

I asked you to check the power supply and the hardware requirements. Can you give me a detailed list??? Probably not cos' it seems to me you haven't check that either...

Reset the Bios by jumping the motherboard and try to start again... se if that makes any difference..

How did you get XP to start and run without a repair install after changing that much hardware? If the motherboard's chipset was different than the old one then you would have got the blue STOP screen on start up and the only way to fix that is to repair windows from the installation cd so it can add the new chipset information to the system registry. Microsoft would even tell you this if you called them!

If by some rare chance it was working after you just put in the new parts and that's a VERY rare chance then it would have kept working unless you changed something. Windows XP rarely EVER freezes during it's start up for any other reason than a hardware problem.

If you expect any of us to be any help you need to provide us with the following information.

Was it working, if so how long and what got changed before it quit?
Did you add the new memory before or after it was working?
Did you update any software before it quit?

CPU type and speed?
RAM Manufacturer?
Windows XP Pro or Home?

Just give us all of the information you possibly can so we can eliminate every possibility for you.
