Dual Boot XP/Vista

Hey, I am dual booting right now with XP Pro on my main hard drive, and the new Vista Beta 2 on my secondary hard drive. When you boot up the machine, it gives you a choice which OS to boot too. I only put Vista on there for testing purposes, and we mostly use XP. But for some stupid reason, it boots to Vista by default. So if you start up the machine, and walk away, and you're not there to change the option to XP, then it boots to Vista.

Does anyone know how to change the default boot to XP? I tried going in the boot order in the bios, but it is already set to boot to my main hard drive. And there don't seem to be any options when choosing which OS to boot to.

Thanks.

actually the the better way I have found to edit the Vista boot. It's easy and fast. It also let you customize the boot screen selection, so you can set up the name you want for your OSs.

Yeah, after looking at it, it looks pretty handy. Thanks for pointing it out. And I guess I should have posted this in the Vista forum. Oops.

Excuse me, just wondering, as a new member, if anyone can advise on my Dual-Boot XP and Vista problem. How do you stop any interaction between the 2 O/Ses, as I tried it a while back, and when first installed Vista ran well, but if I happened to do a search or any other op that uses access to all partitions, while using XP, then the Vista install would become corrupt, and fail to work properly again, without a fresh format and install.

Yes, you can stop search from accessing by using the filter, but if using any form of Registry Repair program, it was goodbye to Vista. (Hasta! Maybe).
