networking a printer

For some reason i am having a problem sharing my printer on a 3 computer wireless network. The actual network is seen and one of the computers is able to share the printer with me but i am unable to get the other computer to use the printer. I have checked all of the basic stuff, ie. workgroup, ip, etc. But for some reason the third computer is unable to print. Another strange thing is that i am able to see the printer on the third machine and install it but when i try and print i get an error saying it can't communicate or something. If anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated. Also my computer is windows xp and the other 2 are windows 98SE.

Way to resolve is to have a router with the printer serial port on it so it saves u the trouble from printing from another computer
