Unhappy

Already done that many times bookworm.

Multimedia Video Controller comes up with "The hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the necessary software."
and
nVidia WDM Video Capture says "The wizard could not find a better match than the software you currently installed".

>>One more point did you install the Chipset from the motherboard disc ?
Yes, i did it from motherboard CD. And then I've updated BIOS (P5B-VM BIOS 0405), LAN driver (-Realtek RTL8111b 10/100/1000M LAN Driver V5.658.0814.2006 for Windows 2000/XP) and VGA driver (-Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator Driver V6.14.10.4670 for Windows 2000/XP) from ASUS' website.
A few hours later I got my new nVidia 9750. So i put it in the PCI slot and installed drivers from nVidia's CD.

My previous PC was Sony desktop with Pentium 4, 1GB RAM, Radeon graphics with 256 shared memory. I played Day of Defeat on it and everything was fine. On the other hand, with this new machine I've just installed the same game and it runs really sluggish. And that's with Intel Core 2 6700 + 2GB RAM + Geforce 7950 !
Any ideas what could be a reason ? I am really disappointed now

I did everything as you said except when I tried to install the file you had given me, but, an error had popped up. It said. "The audio files do not support your system hardware"

If your radio jacks are near your mouse + keyboard sockets, then you have onboard sound, if they are much lower down in an exspansion slot then you have a sound card and this driver will not work.

if you have onboard sound, go back to Dell and install the Chipset driver then RESTART your comp, then install the audio again

DON'T FORGET THE RESTORE POINT BEFORE INSTALLING JUST IN CASE

Hope this helps

The same error has popped up again. I did exactly what you told me to do in your last post. Is something wrong with my computer?

Get Everest http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...-Edition.shtml

copy and paste the My Computer/Summary section, lets see if it can give the motherboard.

Hope this helps

I would really be glad for any help or reply.Basically I need to find drivers to install them, but I have no idea which brand I have, or if there was any other way I could make it work. Btw, I also think the computer is recognizing the hardware, but it was always asking me for a driver (and the detected new hardware wizard).

I would really be glad for any help or reply.Basically I need to find drivers to install them, but I have no idea which brand I have, or if there was any other way I could make it work. Btw, I also think the computer is recognizing the hardware, but it was always asking me for a driver (and the detected new hardware wizard).

This is the link to your Intel D865GBF motherboard drivers http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...4&submit=Go%21
the audio is No;5 and video No:7

these are onboard or intergrated drivers, to establish that audio and video are onboard, your audio jacks and your monitor socket must be sited near the mouse + keyboard sockets on the I/O plate. if either are lower down the tower in an exspansion slot, these drivers will not work.

SET A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT BEFORE INSTALLING EACH DRIVER JUST IN CASE

Hope this helps

i got new motherboard and im not familiar with it quite yet. i think they stopped making it cuz i had hard time installing window xp and getting right drivers. now im almost done except one.... multimedia audio controller. i honestly do not know if it have audio onboard already or not. (im deaf in real life so had no need for any sounds but as i quickly learned... most programs and games requires it and i seem to be unable to bypass the requirements of using audio unfortunately) so heres my belarc system and let me know if u can help me out a little

i only have problem with multimedia audio controller... well i also have problem with usb driver but im working on that since i have some experiences with that heh. only thing about computers that im absolutely stupid in is anything with sounds heh.
