Hi, I'm having the same problems with my girl's computer. Every time thecomputer is started, it recognizes new hardware "Multimedia Audio Device" When i go to hardware, in my computer properties, i see ?! next to that but there are no drivers and device is unknown. Here's the Belarc profile.

Hi, I'm an idiot. Last night I uninstalled some software on my computer, today I now have no sound...just like all the other poster here.
So I downloaded belarc, my report is below. What should I do now to try to restore sound...? Any and all suggestions are Greatly appreciated. Thanks.

For some reason the sound card on my pc won't work after re-installing XP, but I have no idea what make the sound card is. any help on identifying the card and what drivers to get would be much appreciated - info as follows:

I have the exact same problem as the original poster, i downloaded the bellarc advisor, but im not sure exactly where to look for the required information. And there isnt a category that just says sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if your sound driver is missing, nothing will be listed, the clues are at the beginning of the report, make and model or the motherboard post the report please , omit the Software section, it gives Product Codes for your OS and the Windows Critical Updates.
