I have had a computer along time, (Windows 3.0 and before) my "problem" is I want to set up a user account that shuts everything off except sound and video card so I can play games without all the thing running in the background.

No probs mate hope it helps.

A good tweaking program which might help you gain some performance is XP Smoker Pro. Very simple to use. Not free though unfortunately.
