This is the onboard audio driver, you will need to use the audio plugs on the I/O plate, this is a zip file http://www.foxconnchannel.com/suppor...D=en-us0000004

Installing Drivers

Create a folder for what you are downloading

Example: Audio
Then download the zipped file to that folder

Then download and install Winzip
Go to the folder and right click and click Winzip extract to here

That will automatically make a folder and unzip files to it ( make a note of file path)

Then go to folder and click on Setup file and follow instructions displayed for installation

If no Setup file

1. Expand "Sound, video and game controllers"
2. Right-click the the yellow flagged device ( or audio device Realtek, Soundmax C-Media etc ) and choose Update Driver
3. In Windows XP SP2, the Update Wizard will prompt to connect to the Windows Update
4. Select "No, not this time" and click Next
5. Select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)" and click Next.
6. Select "Search for the best driver in theses locations" and check "Include this location in the search"
7. Click Browse and select the the location of downloaded driver
8. Click OK and click Next
9. Wait while the Wizard installs the software
10. Click Finish.

SET A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT BEFORE INSTALLING JUST IN CASE
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a restore point and follow instructions

Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum I'm trying to fix some problems on my sisters computer, _ALL_ games are lagging.. even warcraft3! and I noticed I had some drivers that aren't installed, "Multimedia video controller" and "Multimedia controller". I hope it's because of the drivers that games are lagging (20 fps in counter-strike, 10-15 in warcraft3), and yes.. I've tried everything that I know about fps problems ;x

Hi there,

After reading some of these posts it appears i am in the right place for my problem.

Like many i have no installed drivers for my multimedia audio controller after using th XP restore discs on my computer. Hence no sound. This is also the case for the Netweork controller, however that is not my main concern at the moment.

I was hoping you could help me out by pointing me in the right direction in terms of audio drivers.

The specs of my computer are:

Intel® Celeron® D 330 2.66
256 MB DDR RAM
40 GB HDD1
DL 8x DVD±RW; 8-in-1 Media Reader (USB 2.0, Secure Digital (SD), Smart Media, Compact Flash, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, Micro Drive, Multimedia Card)
Intel® 845GV Intel® Extreme Graphics
nForce™ 6-channel Audio
10/100Mbps built-in Ethernet
56K V.92 SmartLink SL1900
105+18+key+ PS/2, 2-Button Wheel Mouse, Amplified Stereo Speakers
5 USB 2.0 ports (4 in back; 1 in Media Reader), 1 Serial, 1 Parallel, 2 PS/2, Audio-In & Out
7.25"w x 14.125"h x 16"d
Pre-Installed Software: Microsoft Works 7.0, Money 2004, Nero 6 Suite, BigFix, PowerDVD, Acrobat Reader

The computer itself is an emachines 2240.

I have tried a variety of sources and have yet come up with no answers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

That model has Realtek High Definition go here http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&GetDown=false

Download the (Executable file) save to desktop, double click downloaded file on desktop to install
.
Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a restore point and follow instructions

the stuff that you downloaded would be saved to your normal save location if you didn't install the drivers.

If you installed the drivers then I have no idea
