I'm not sure on this one, and Sony UK don't have individual drivers, just a huge download of all Preinstalled drivers, now I don't have the Raid drivers installed on my comp, techie who installed my motherboard left them out, so I'm not 100% sure. have a word with these guys, very techi informed they will be able to explain better.

Hi, I'm missing the driver for my multimedia audio controller. Trying to figure out which one it is so I can get the right driver. Do you know where to look to find that?

Get Belarc, copy and paste the report, omit the Software section, it gives Product Codes for your OS and the Windows Critical Updates.

Hmmm. this says none detected. I was just using sound the other day before I reinstalled my OS. The hardware has to be there, just seems to be missing the driver. I'm trying to get the driver from dell's site but it only wants to install to a floppy. Really, I don''t even know if I'm grabbing the right driver. It's the only one for a sound card though.

There are 2 types of sound card installed in this model, a Creative Soundblaster or the Voyetra Turtle Beach Santa Cruz, you will need to check which is installed. In the case of the Voyatra you have to remove your connection to the Internet before installing ( see Important!!! ) note at bottom, Everest may list the sound card, check Computer/Summary section http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...-Edition.shtml

http://support.euro.dell.com/support...atid=&im pid=

Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a restore point and follow instructions

Get Everest, copy and paste the Computer / Summary section
