Video Controller (VGA Compatible) error

Greetings everyone.

I recently formatted an older computer in an attempt to give it to a friend to use since i have two new ones since than.

Since than it won't find the driver for the "Video Controller (VGA Compatible) which is onboard video. I have tried installing a known good video card and all drivers from another computer but all it would allow me to do was to have dual monitors. so i've pulled that video card out and figure best thing to do is first solve the initial problem. i've tried searching for driver and have had no luck, i don't know what to do. the computer is...

Intel Celeron 2.4ghz
1gb of RAM
motherboard is a soltek SL-85LIR-CL

I don't know what other information would be of use. I am at my absolute wit's end with trying to find a driver for this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

I have found the motherboard, it is Intel based, so the chipset driver should be installed first, it does not show a VGA or video driver only Intel onboard graphics, here's the link

Click OK to no ISBN / left pane select Mainboard / model name SL-85LIR-C/ SL-85LIR-CL / GO

Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case

thank you very much, that worked like a charm. I googled for Soltek's real site and just couldn't find it.

btw, really wierd, that link wouldn't work in explorer, only would open in firefox, i dunno why.
