Hello,
I recently applied the latest round of XP updates then noticed that I was unable to access XP system restore. I received the message "You do not have sufficient security privileges to restore you system. Please contact your administrator, or log out and log in as an administrator and try again. I am a member of the local admin group on this system.
I then noticed that the XP system restore tab was removed from my computer > properties. I also noticed that I am now locked out of Event Viewer Security Log.

I tried all of the potential fixes provided in the above post but all were unsuccessful.
Anyone else having this issue? Anyone know how to fix this without reimaging and avoiding the lastest XP updates until they fix it?
