setupdd.sys Stop 0x0000008e XP Pro SP2

Hello ! I need some help with what to do next.

I have a PC configured
Motherboard ASUS A7N8X-X with 256 MB memory
AMD Athalon cpu
G-Force FX 5200 video card
new CD RW drive
floppy drive
HD 40GB

I am trying to install Windows XP Pro with service pack 2. This system at one time had XP Home but I have since formatted the hard drive, flashed the BIOS, cleared the CMOS, and moved my stick of ram from 0 to 1.

Still I get the same error

I am not sure what else to try other than replacing my 1 stick of ram with a new one.

Can anyone suggest something that would help ?

Yeah, I'd go with replacing the RAM module.

If you are still having the same issues, a full format may be needed.

I replaced the memory module with a new one and tried again. This time I got the operating system loaded. Thank you.
