I am having sound problems; have XP...

I installed wordperfect office 12 home edition and now I have no sound...can anyone help me?

I downloaded Belarc Advisor because it seems to help in other 'sound related' threads. If that info would be a benefit, please let me know. What should I do?

To check the easiest thing first, go to Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices>Audio tab and make sure the sound card's name is selected as the "Default Playback Device."

Thanks for the response...I checked, and find that it says the device is enabled ...but cannot start. What do you suggest?
