Hanging on Welcome Screen

I have just cloned my current hard drive onto a new hard drive.

On boot up the clone hangs on the Welcome screen. I have tried booting in Safe Mode, Last Known Good Configuration and Directory Service Restore Mode with no success.

What else can I do as I have had nothing but problems with getting the clone to work!
