Hi,
I have WinXP SP2. I had the terrible idea of changing the refresh rate (rr) of the Task Manager (TM) a few days ago. In the menu, there is High, Normal and Low settings as well as Paused. I don't care for the Paused

If I try the High speed, I get a rr of twice a sec. If I hit the low, it gets down to once every five seconds. If I put the normal setting, the rr gets up to once every two seconds. However, the rr at which it was originally, and the one I found to be the best, is once per second. I read some articles on MS's website. I found myself reading at one place that TM's default rr is once every two seconds and at another that it is once a sec. I lost the links to those two places.
I have two local accounts on my PC. I did not touch the rr of the other account's TM. It is still at 1/sec. I tried on another PC at work, and it does the same thing. It was at 1/sec and now, the "normal" rate is 1/two seconds.
Do you know where in the registery this stuff is defined ? I just want to get the refresh rate of 1/sec back without reinstalling Windows if possible

.
Thanks,
ib
