No Sound w/ evrything working properly

okay, i'm pretty good w. comps, my dad is a guru.

Neither one of us could figure this OUT !!!

My stepbro was playin a game, sound was working fine, left and came back plugged in headphones...nada!

checked plugs, drivers, card, all options, restarted, tabs, no conflicts with anything.

i can hear the buzz/static from the speakers being on yet...NO SOUND!

When he had sound previously, were the head phones plugged in?

Are they plugged in to the front or the back of the Pc?

If they are in the front of the Pc, this may have shorted your motherboard connections, don't quote me on this.

Please reply with the model of your Pc, age of it, what series it is etc.

Okay fixed what was wrong...

Did a system restore to about 3-4 days prior date.

Works wonderfully! finally back to my 5.1 ss speakers
