No Audio Device!
Woke up this morning and my computer had restarted itself and When i went to play some audio the sound started coming out of the speakers in the monitor rather than my tapco's.
I went into the control panel and found that my computer was not detecting my emu 1212 sound card. The card was present in the hardware section and it said that it was installed and working properly. I found this strange and did the usual processes, Uninstalled, re-installed.
Nothing! Then I tried updating the drivers, nothing!
So I turned the computer off, took the card out of the computer uninstalled all the appropriate software, rebooted, then turned it off and put the card back in. Still no audio device.
I also tried restoring the pc back to a couple of days ago when it worked fine and still nothing.
I only thing i thought it might be related to was a microsoft update as yesterday the yellow shield appeared in the bottom right of my screen and i ignored it. I presume that the update restarted my computer, I fact I'm sure it did.
Any help would be hugely appreciated, as I've been pulling my hair out all day trying to figure it out
