Angry Windows quagmire!

I am running an Asus MB A7n8x with an athlon 1.34 ghz chip with 1gb ram. System has been fine for over a year now but about 2 months ago started to slow down hella. I have done 2 reformats and fresh installs of win xp pro 2002 ver. sp 2.... the last fresh install I did, immediately when i tried to access my documents, it began to freeze up and takes up to 5 minutes before I can select anything in my documents. Also when I start up Outlook Xpress, it takes several minutes of SLOOOWW work to finally bring up the interface. All in all it is suxoring big time. It takes many minutes to boot up and it used to be speedy quick. Comp too young for me to blow it up just now. I am running mcafee antivirus, adaware, and just ran a reg fix with regSupreme....didnt help! pls help meh!

I'm curios, when I do a reformat and fresh install i have no documents at all to access, are you doing a full format or the quick format.

Cheers
