Windows XP and S-ATA HDD

I have tried to load windows XP Pro onto a machine with a s-ata HDD. It goes through the loading of the devices etc, but when it starts to load Windows it bluw screens with error codes. Any ideas how I can overcome this. Do special drivers have to be loaded for s-ata disks.

Yes, normally Windows does not install Sata drivers. There is a point during innstallation where you are asked if you need to install special drivers and that is the point of loading from a CD/DVD/Floppy. Note if you installing from a recovery partition/disk the SATA drivers will be loaded IF your original hard drive(s) were SATA.
