Attachement in Outlook XP causes hungapp
I am running Windows XP Pro, Outlook XP for email. I also use McAfee Virus Scan 6 for my anti-virus. I did not install the firewall. I am also running Norton Utilities. I am using a router, networking two PC's. The other one is using Windows 98SE, Outlook Express 6 and works great.
When I receive an email that has any type of attachment (even .doc), I try to click on the attachment, then Outlook XP reads Not Responding, I close it down, I get a Hungapp error from Microsoft.
I then can shut down the O/S, reboot, then go back into Outlook XP email, and then I can open the same attachment, that previously caused the error. I have tried, disabling McAfee and Norton Util, before accesing Outlook XP email, still have the same problem.
