Hi ... IE7 comes just as you describe it but you need to customize your toolbars to get what you are missing , If you right click on toolbars ? Just mess around with the setting there and customize to your liken , for instand place a check mark on Menu Bar and see what just happen to your toolbar , Oh yeah for the history option ? Look at the forward and backward arrows on the top left side , click on the arrow pointing down

Has anybody else here found IE 7 to be extremely slow? Also, my Outlook Express opens very slowly when IE7 is installed. Anybody know of a workaround?

Nope not me , IE7 loads just like IE6 did for me, You might want to scan your system for spywares or your ISP is having problems

I have done many scans. I use 3 different anti-spyware products. I use one of the most powerful firewalls, and antivirus. I also tested my download speed with Firefox 2.0 and my download speed was 12mb/s which is what it should be.

I also encountered the same problem on both my pc's.

Yes, Norton Antivirus 2004. I wouldn't use their internet securit suite. I won't upgrade either. When they stop supporting it, it's on to BitDefender.

I'll second that. get rid of Norton. if anything is slowing down your system I'd put my shirt on it being Norton. Also takes ages to load at startup before you can start using your PC. I get both NAV & NPF free from my ISP (with free updates indefinitely) but even that can't persuade me to use it. Think that says it all, don't you?
