A Kernel file is missing from the disk.

I had Windows NT and Windows XP installed on my computer with a dual boot. Then I started getting this error "A Kernel file is missing from the disk. Insert a system, diskette and restart the system."

So I updated and over wrote the Windows NT with Windows 2000 and I re-installed XP. But I still get the error message. Any idea how to get rid of this problem.
