Ping failure !!

Hey eve1,

i have got two computers with win xp sp1 on both and connected through hub, the ip address is as follows,

system 1 :- 192.168.1.1
system 2 :- 192.168.1.2

when i ping from 1.1 to 1.2 i m getting reply, but when i ping from 1.2 to 1.1 it is showing request timed out.

I have disabled the firewalls on both systems but not getting yet.

Any suggestions?

Hey abdulsidz,

Are those IP addresses static of dynamic ? Can 1.1 ping anything else (outside) ? is it possible that TCP stack on 1.1 is messed up and need to be reloaded (uninstalling the NIC and reinstalling it back will fix the TCP stack), let us know.
