XP Setup Problem

Everytime I try to setup weindows XP either on a formated drive or not it down loads files but stops when it is to install them.

I get "Setup cannot copy the file: nvraidco.dll"

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Thanks,
Ed

Has the CD got any scraches on it?
Maybe try another XP CD

Have you ever had any problems with the CD drive?
Maybe try another drive

The other thing is that a lot of data gets put into the memory when setup is running, what you might want to do is swap out your RAM aswell.

Thanks for your reply Skullz,

I will try another CD.

What did you mean by "swap out your RAM" ?

Thanks again,
ED

Hey EWAUGH,

I'll jump in to this thread since "SKULLZ1987" is not around right now.....I think he meant to change the RAM....if you have a spare memory stick then you could swap it with the one already in the system.

Cheers

Xp Setup Keeps Restarting

I Got The Setup To Run By Changing The Ram Stick But Now At The First Restart The Xp Setup Keeps Restarting. I Get The Black Screen With The Xp Logo And Blue Moving Light And A Few Seconds Later The Computer Restarts Over And Over.

Any Suggestions How To Continue With My Xp Setup?

Ed
