Custom folders are done in MY Computer,like my picture show a movie camera.I wanted it and kept it.It also has restore defaults.
But the music note IS unusuall,but this topic is about custom folder icons,
I think.
BTW you C: drive is very low on free space.XP and most Windows require
15 % minimum to operate best.

The problem is with the root of the drive, it's not a folder it IS the C: drive.
And I think you mistook the original topic, look where he said

there is a customize tab where you can choose a folder type from a template
|
In your screenshot, it's the very top option, NOT about the icon of the folder or the pictures, but the "what kind of folder do you want" option.

In my case, the C: drive itself has been set to be a template like the music folder and I want to change it back to "documents (for any file type)" as seen in your picture, but I do not have that tab, because the "C: drive" is not a folder.
I hope that is clear enough, and now the question is how I can change the template of a drive back to the default?
(And I know it's almost full,

)
