Microsoft Word Template Header Problem!

Hi, I wonder if anyone could help me with the problem I’m having.

I’m running Windows XP Home and I’m having a problem with opening templates in Microsoft Office Word 2003.

When I open my saved templates it doesn’t show the header or footer until I click on view ‘header and footer’ in the toolbar, which it never used to do. However if I open a template from ‘recently used templates’ in the new document window they open normally, displaying the header and footer.

I have Template folders in 3 locations on my computer, they are:

Local C:/Documents and Settings/My Name/Templates
Local C:/Program Files/Microsoft Office/Templates
Local C:/Documents and Settings/My Name/Application Data/Microsoft/Templates

And it’s the last location that Microsoft Office Word 2003 seems to be looking for my templates.

So any idea how I can get my header and footer to show when I open my saved templates, without having to click view header and footer?

Any help would be really appreciated.
