Web page disappears for no reason

I recently had my daughter's hard drive reformatted. Now when she goes to her myspace page, the internet explorer window disappears. No error message, no page not found, just disappears. It'll go to the myspace home page, but when she logs in, its starts to load up the page, then disappears. This didn't happen before the reformat. This was the first page she went to after the reformat, so I don't think its a spyware or virus issue. I went back and forth between her computer and mine, making sure all of the internet options match, and they're all good. Any ideas??
