The disk were full ... or the disk for temporay files is full

I got this error message "The document coulnd not be saved. The disk you were saving to or the disk used for temporary files is full. Free some space on the disk and try again, or save to a different disk.", when i downloaded files from the web to my hard disk for about 10 pdf files, each of them was about 400KB size. However, my hard disk still has 7GB unused space, and my IE temporary Internet files is setted as 300MB.

If I saved the files to another disk, it would work for another 10 or more file downloadings, then the same error message would show again. And, I find that if i go back to the previous disk, sometime it would allow me to save one or two files, but then the same message appear again. I tried to clean up my harddisk and IE temporary folder, but neither of them would help. The only thing that can help is reboot again, but the same story continue.

I think there must be some setting messed up in my registry. can some one give me a direction to correct this problem, thank YOU!
