-This are my specs:
Windows XP Proffesional
Intel Pentium 4 3.0
DDR 1GB Ram 400mhz
ATI Radeon 9250 256MB

My problem is, for example, i open counter strike, 1 min and puff, it restarts, BUT if im not playing any game it works normaly, i can have
3D Studio Max whit Cinema4D MSN Winamp Ventrilo and nothing wrong happen, but if i just open Counter Strike, 1 min and puff (its not just counter strike, i mean all the games, counter strike, swat4, fear, wow, war3, emp3, just whit game :S ), please someone help me to fix this, or to tell me whats the problem, i tink its not problem of the RAM, because its just whit games, and i tought it was heat problem, but i clean it a lot and changed the cooler taked off the side case and its the same. please need help here, thanks.

This could be due to either graphics driver issues or graphics card issues.

First of to stop it restarting automatically:

Right click on my computer > click properties > Go to the Advanced Tab > Click Start-up and Recovery, Settings > Uncheck Automatically Restart > OK > and Ok Again.

(You might have to restart you machine for settings to take effect).

Then download and install the latest drivers from the manufactures website.

Then try and play a game.

If it still happens you should see a blue screen instead of the system restarting if you do cross check it to the ones listed on each of the sites:

http://www.aumha.org/win5/kbestop.php
http://www.updatexp.com/stop-messages.html

This should reveal the true cause of the errors.

It sounds like one of your components are overheating and causing the pc to restart. It could be your graphics card that’s overheating and causing the pc to restart.

Have you got a spare o second hand graphics card you can test?
