2 DVD R/W Drives

I have a Dell Inspiron 521 running XP. I installed a second DVD R/W drive identical to the one that came with the computer. Now, if I try to copy a CD from one drive to the other, the drive with the blank CD will not recognize the CD. It keeps asking for a DVD to copy to. If I put a DVD in the copy drive, it writes to it. It does not matter which drive I try to write with--neither one will write to a CD. Both are SATA drives. Is there a way to make one a master and one a slave, or am I missing some other setting?

SATA drives don't use the master/slave arrangement. Try getting the latest version of the burning software.
