Volume Icon In taskbar NOT avaiable????

Hi
I am recently having this problem.
Volume Icon in taskbar does not load on startup, although sound is avaiable but I cannot control it from taskbar.
I checked it in control panel > sounds and audio devices, the box"place volume icon in taskbar" is checked.
for the time being I can get it the following way.
go to control panel > sounds and audio devices > uncheck "place volume icon in taskbar". > Log off > login> go to control panel > sounds and audio devices > check "place volume .............., and volume icon is back.
but it does not start automatically when windows start.
how to solve the problem.

I worked a lot on it,
I am sure now that antivirus is stoping the volume icon not to display.
I uninstalled my antivirus "mcafee". and volume icon loaded properly.
I installed some other antivirus, avg, it also stopped the icom to appear in taskbar notice area.
Now I uninstalled AVG, installed mcafee again , disable active shield to startup automaticaly, the volume icon is properly loaded.
what expets say about it ?.

Sorry mate ... I have absolutely NO idea whatsoever. Maybe others do. Are there any McAffee-specific forums? Perhaps such a place would have some experience of this problem.

Just a thought.

Right click the Taskbar > Properties > Customize - under Current Items/Past Items, change the Behaviour for Volume to Always Show > Ok > Apply > Ok.

Does that work???
