microsoft vista

I see Microsoft have bought out a new system (Microsoft vista) if i was to change from win xp pro to Microsoft vista would i lose all my file and downloads, or would Microsoft vista just install an update to wind xp and save all my files ect.

Microsoft didn't buy Vista....They built it...it took them 5 year and 6.5 Billion dollars to develop it....to answer your question, You can install Vista as an upgrade and it will not delete you file or applications.

Thanks bookworm it makes good reading.Its put my mind at rest i'll stick with xp pro for now and see how the vista develops, and how many problems occur.I think i'll join software tips&tricks Forum.
