Run 2 Modems As 1 ??

any possibility on xp pro to make run at the same time two 56 k dialup modems (one internal, one usb external i'm planning to buy to this end) but to have a single speed of +- 100 k/sec, harmonizing their respective speeds? I'm only interested in special software - if needed-, I know the're 3com hardware out there that does the job, but it already comes with 2 modems and it costs 350 $... Thanks for helping out!!

If i am not completely mistaken, this ability should be built into windows. go to help and support, at the top search for multilink, and read "configuring multiple device dialing". drawbacks: ISP must support multilink, and you would be surprised at who does not!! (earthlink for one!) also you need two modems, two phonelines, and depending on the ISP's views on multilinking, two full price accounts.
