Ethernet Connection Prob

Hi all,
Have a problem with connecting two pc's using 2 ethernet cables using 1 wireless router. Connected icon is shown on both pc's at 100mbps. Ipconfig test and ping test on cmd shows that both pc's send and recieve data packets but firefox and ie when launched show the standard "server not found".
Network Adapater: broadbandcom 440x10/100 integrated controller.

Ran a network diagnostic check and got the error:
type = 0x1, options = 0x10e8) returns 0x5bf.

Anyhelp would be gr8. Thanks in advance for response
