Sound Driver Problems

Hello,

I have recently reformatted and I have tried to reinstall my sound drivers.

I am using a dell 4600i and it has Realtek AC97 as I was using before.

During the installation this time it closed at the end and the computer turned off totally.

When I turned it back on the sound wasn't working so I went to Device Manager, the "Multimedia Audio Controller" is shown as installed but with an error,

This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)


Don't know how to fix this so I can hear,

I now have a different error after reinstalling:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.

Is this a Dimension 4600?
