Computer freezing!

Lately my computer has started to freeze, especially if im playing computer games. i have a windows XP pc and the screen just freezes, but i can still move the mouse and hear the sound. This really driving me crasy and i dont what to do. I really dont know much about computers so HELP???

Hi tabba, this may be caused by a bad video driver. So depending on your video card you may need to update your drivers.

It could also be a memory problem. Not enough ram or not enough virtual memory.

Make sure you do your housekeeping. Disk cleanup and defragging. Free up space on your hard drive will help.

Make sure you don't have a whack of programs/processes running when you play games. Game playing is hard on resources.
