Question XP setup fails at windows file install....?

Whenever I try to do a full install of Windows XP Professional onto my second HDD the install process works through all the initial stages just fine, but when it gets to the actual installation of the new windows files I get an error message:

"Error:

Installation failed:F:\1386\asms. Error Message:The parameter is incorrect

update - F:\1386\WIN9XUPG\W95UPG.DLL"

I'm installing using the full install option from Windows ME on my other HDD.

If anyone can help, I'd be very appreciative - thanks

Because you cannot run two operating systems simultaneously. The NTFS file compression system works great because you can install a second hard drive and you dont need an operating system on it. So, dont install an operating system on it, its not necessary. Your computer will recognize the additionl HHD as extra storage (which it is) and will apply the necessary drivers to operate it.
