need help desperately

Tonight i was clearing a load of rubbish off of my computer and when i re started by computer for some reason the multimedia audio controller had been taken off. all i hear is a 'beep' every now and then . it says i need a disk to put it back on my computer but i dont have the disk and never have . Can anyone help me plz!!!!! i cant listen to anything.

1. Open device manager
2. In device manager click View and click "Show hidden devices"
This should make "Non-Plug and Play Drivers" visible in device manager.
3. Expand Non-Plug and Play Drivers by clicking the plus and double-click Beep.
4. Within the "Beep properties" window click the Driver tab.
5. Under the driver tab if you wish to temporarily disable this device click the Stop button. If you wish to permanently disable this device under the Startup Type select Disabled.

kk. so will this give me my sound back aswell??? and where exactly is device manager?
