Lost ability to double click with mouse

Hello all
For some reason i cannot double click using the left mouse button any more
the first click works fine but second has no response
I have to click once to highlight the selection then hit ENTER to activate
i have two mouses one USB and another cordless both having the same problem.
This may have occoured after trying to install a bluetooth mouse without success
Any suggestions would be very appreaciated
Thanks

Hi Keats,

When you tried to install the wireless mouse - When did you try and install it? You could try and uninstall the software if it's partially installed from Add / Remove programs

If nothing in there, try a system restore to when it last worked normally.

Failing that, boot in to safe mode by pressing eitiher F5 or F8 durin boot up (Depending on your PC and OS)
IF your mouse works OK in here, then it's clearly a driver / Windows problem.

Main thing is try a system restore - Fail ? Remove the SW for the Bluetooth mouse - Still nothing ? You could either stick with pressing enter all your life or reboot your system (wipe it clean)
