Thank you very much for your tips. It works.

Initially when I open the CTRL- Alt - Del and reset to enabled from not configured, there was no change then I went to the site again and set to disabled and when I tested the Taskmanager was back to normal.

So, Eric, thanks once again.

I have a similar problem, when i try to open task manager i get the same message. I don't have a RUN or a TURN OFF COMPUTER link when i click START. And every time i use the internet i get a lot of pop ups an ad ware.
I know what caused this. I downloaded a program that disabled my FIREWALL and my VIRUS PROTECTION. Is there any way i can fix this? Without having someone else come fix it for me.

Hi, I have a similar problem every time i try to open TASK MANAGER it says "this program was disabled by the administrator" And I don't have the RUN icon on my START MENU or even the TURN OFF COMPUTER icon. Every time i try to browse the internet internet explorer goes crazy. I know how i got it. I was trying to update the AVG ANTI Virus from the free edition to the other. But before i was done it disabled my FIREWALL and my Virus Protection and allowed something to get in my computer. Then my computer shut off. Does anyone know how to fix this without having someone come fix it for me or backing up and rebooting my system?

i followed the one who said i shud try to get trendmicro and this is wat it showed.. i have the same problem my task manger wont work (disabled by admin.) well hope sum1 can help me on this one i tried the other staff but it wont work

note: oh yah, i followed the other one with the free taskmanger repair DL. and it stopped saying "need to download net.framework." so im currently doint that now but if it still all fails pls sum1 help me coz im not that good on computers

Go to group policy settings then click +system tab then go double click ctrl alt delete options then double click on remove task manager then check button disable task manager and your done!

To kill the RED SCREEN OF DEATH, goto upper right hand corner of screen and click the X that appears. Your normal desktop will appear.

Goto: Start/Programs/Accesories/System_Tools/Disk_Cleanup

1. Run Disk Cleanup

2.Be sure NOT to click on Compess old files(may take a day) and to click everything else.

3.Let it Work

4.After This is complete, reboot.

1.Now that you've removed the temp. files,
Goto: C: Program_Files/(Search For any files with names that you either can't pronounce or aren't words)

2.Open these files one at a time. If the name is some program you recognize, leave it. If not remember the folder name.

3.Goto: Start:Search

4.Search for these files

5. If you find more than 1 copy goto the non-program files location and delete file.

1.Goto: C: Documents_and_Settings/(Click Your User)/ApplicationData

2.Perform Step 1b.-5b. again for these files

3.Reboot

Problem should now be detected by antivirus because stealth files are lost in this process. Virus will atempt to repair and expose itself.

i have the same problem some1 sent me a virus but i didnt now it was a virus so i opened it it was called "NEWIMAGE24" so it sent to all my msn contacs with sucks.
i ran an antivirus scan and found nothing ive deleted the "NEWIMAGE24" but it didnt do anything so every 10 mins it sends to every1 on my msn list!

help me
