installing 2nd cdrw drive??

i got a new computer with windows xp and a cdrw dvd drive, and i want to install a 2nd cdrw drive from my old computer so i can copy cds easier, i put in the disk that came with the cdrw and it says i cant install the 2nd cdrw , something about the configuration, how can i get the second cdrw drive installed?

Hi:

You probably have both drives set as master drives. Check the back of both drives - there should be a set of jumpers on each. You want to set one for master and one for slave. The dvd drive should be set as the master. You may have to check the manufacturers web site for the proper jumper locations for each drive. I would thnk that the new drive should already be set to master.
