low disk space

Hi guys

I recently set upa new pc after building it myself. However, i've run into a little problem.

I partitioned a 300gb drive into two partitions - one for the OS and the other to install system progs etc etc.

It seems now that in my rush to get the pc up andrunning, i only allowed 10GB ON THE SYSTEM PARTITION. The other partition remains vastly unused at the minute.

Just recently i started to get "low disk Space" pop ups. Upon checking and compressing old files and cleaning etc, i have managed to create a massive space of 312Mb... (It might have been enough in early 90's but not now)

My question is,am i able to delete the second partition and rejoin it to the system partition - basically get rid of the partition?

Am i in some way able to increase the system partition size?

I'd prefer not to lose any data or reformat the disk if at all possible.

Yes it is. I would use Partiion Magic, but there are many progs out there that do the same thing.
