No audio after XP install

No audio after XP install

Im having audio issues after reinstalling XP home edition. its saying no devices under sounds and audio in the control panel. I have gone to the Gateway support page and dl the conexant driver and it says failure in the installer after a few seconds. Here is my Belarc

I tried but the installer says failure every time, even in safe mode.

i believe that i have had a VERY SIMILAR problem ... this is what i did

CONTROL PANNEL >> ADD HARDWARE

go through with it >yes i have already connected the hardware

now it MAY have a yellow question mark beside it .. and then install it automatically

try installing everything with audio in the name ...
this may take like half an hour cause there were ALOT if things i had to install

Thank you, that fixed the problem. I went to add hardware>search for recently installed hardware>multimedia audio> then when it asks to for the drivers specify the location where the drivers are downloaded and that was it.
