Windows XP Pro CD

Hi, I have a serial key for XP Pro and I am trying to figure out if it's a retail, OEM, or VLK license. Is there any way for me to check this. Also, I only have an OEM Dell recovery disk to install it. I have tried to change the PID to the OEM CD with a mix of the VLK but I then get a message that my serial key is invalid.

If anyone can help that would be great!

All I know is that if it's an OEM key, it'll have the letters "OEM" somewhere in the number.

Ring MS and they'll tell you if it's retail, OEM of anything else
