i am unable to access hidden files

the other day my cozin installed a free hide software so tat we can hide our hidden folders with a password protection.
As i forgot the password i removed that application frm my comp but now i am unable to view my hidden files though i went to TOOLS and FOlDER OPTIONS and view hidden files.

Try the same thing "FOLDER OPTIONS"
in ADMIN mode

Try a system restore to a point before the software was installed.
