9,000,000 recieved packets

For some reason my computer is telling me that i have 9,000,000 recieved packets and only 3,840,000 sent why is this happening?

i also have 7 SVCHOST.EXE's running
1 for local service
2 for network service
and 4 for system

This is very frustrating because my computer runs so slow
