Exclamation Need Help...Can't get into my music folder

I just want to know if anyone out there knows how to deal with this problem i've had. I've accidentally downloaded some picture file while i was downloading music with winmx pro. It caused problems immediately, but there was more than one picture file that had been downloaded. I wasn't able to get into my music folder last tuesday the 10th of April. It kept popping up with the error "windows explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close" when i tried right clicking and double clicking on the folder..so none of the online fix help will work as most of them require you to right-click on the file you want to delete. I've tried running spybot, spyhunter and my mcafee virus scan and the virus scan will fix whatever it finds, but has no effect on the folder problem. Spybot seems to always find something in spyhunter and if i fix it, it basically just deletes spyhunter, which is stupid. Spyhunter will run through the first 3 steps of the search, but the 4th step of searching the files on the computer...once it gets half way through and reaches the mymusic folder the same windows error pops up "windows explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close". I can't search for any picture/music/or movie files through the windows search because all of those types of files can be found in the mymusic folder. Last week when this happened, I was told to try opening the folder in a program that doesn't play music files, so I used notepad and was able to open the mymusic folder that way and delete most of the corrupt files that were causing the problem. The only one left was some picture file named..."britney spears.....some really long picture file name" and when i tried to delete it, the explorer window would just close and no error or anything, just closed. It didn't seem to matter though, because the other files were deleted and I was then able to get into mymusic folder. Now its happened again, only this time I can't get to the folder through notepad and I don't know what else to try. Could it be the file i mentioned causing the problem or something else? Why would it work for a while and then go back to now working again? I've only downloaded a few other music files since last week and I know they weren't corrupt because they worked fine and I've never had any problems with music files from Limewire. Limewire also doesn't want to load up while i'm having this problem. All the music files are still there, because I can still listen to them in Itunes, but I can't get into the folder to delete songs or watch some of the tv shows i have downloaded in there and stuff. Can anyone help and offer any suggestions? Please don't reply with just sympathy, only reply if you've got something to try to help me or have a similar situation. Thanks

Try running chkdsk /f.

Did you create it ?
My Documents/My pictures/My videos doesn't have to
be where you put these.Make folders for each type on C drive and sort them there.
In my case i have a partition for each so their safe.

What is your search method ?
As for Search, why can't you search My Computer for example for
*.jpg or *.bmp or *.mp3.It won't just search mymusic folder.
Thats Start Menu/Search "For Files and Folders"
Why in Gods name are you useing Notepad ? Its for text files.
You need to learn how to organize a hard drive, not let Windows control
Where they go.
You get a location option when you select download.
Your asked where to save or should be.
I think you just hit the nail on the head!
